Dubrovnik, Croatia!!!

I don't even know where to start sharing our experience of this city. You know that quote that goes something like: "I'm in love with places I've never been, and people I've never met." This place embodied that quote for us. From the moment we walked off the boat we fell in love with this city. From the crystal clear water to the great big cloudless sky. We walked from the port all the way to this town called Lapad. It seemed like we walked for miles and around every corner there was something beautiful to look at. From the port around the harbor, then we walked up a hill and back down a hill to this hidden beach town. As soon as we started walking back over the hill we could see the land break and the water start to appear. It was beautiful! We played in that crystal clear, perfectly refreshing water for hours it seemed. The beach was unlike any beach I've ever been. It was not a sand beach, it was full of pebbles and there were no waves. It was so nice to just wade in the water and let all our worries melt away for that short moment in time.

From there, unfortunately, we had to leave and we decided to do more walking to the old town of Dubrovnik. We walked for another hour or so and stumbled upon the most breathtaking views of sheer cliffs and ocean that was twenty five different shades of blue. We arrived into this town that seemed to be so different from the place we just were. It was full of tourists and cobble stone streets and old fortresses. It was awesome! The buildings and the churches were so old and beautiful and the way the light painted them was magnificent. I will never forget that town. We walked through the labyrinth of old cobblestone alleyways. We ate some really great ice cream. We even came across this hidden door cut out that they created which opened the wall of the old city into the most gorgeous views of the ocean, it was magical! From there, we had to make our trek back to the ship. But we loved Dubrovnik and hope to go back there in the near future!

Thanks for reading!!
